Wondering what book to suggest your child gets out of the library this weekend? Here’s  a couple I thoroughly enjoyed:

Sesame Seade Mysteries: 1. Sleuth on Skates by Clementine Beauvais.

This book made me laugh. And I mean laugh-out-loud!  Don’t read it at the back of the class when you’re supposed to be doing a maths problem.  The main character Sesame, is a fun, wild, imaginative and out-of-control kid who keeps you turning the page to see what she’ll do next. It’s one of those “I can’t put down books…”

Peter Nimble and his Fantastic Eyes by Jonathan Auxier.

I found it delightful and absorbing, quirky and fun with a plot full of exciting twists to keep the reader turning the pages.   Jonathan Auxier sense of humour kept me smiling – if you like my short stories, you’ll like his writing too.
